Untitled San Francisco Coyote Project

I’ve been shooting this short documentary since 2017, capturing the story of San Francisco’s growing coyote population through the few dedicated women and men who study it. As they’ve returned to cities nationwide, the urban coyote is evolving in front of our eyes. But in life amongst humans, conflict is never far. In a place known for radical inclusion, is there room for a little wild in the city? Production continues through the Summer of 2019.

It began with his work on 2001: A Space Odyssey and continues 50 years with the development of his own camera and projection system. Created in partnership with The Future of Storytelling, this short captures Douglas Trumbull's lifelong quest to create immersive cinema. I directed and shot this piece with a small team at Doug’s studio in rural Massachusetts.
